Stackhouse Wins Rotary Scholarship

Zoey Stackhouse was one of six Des Moines Public Schools seniors to win an $8,000 Rotary Club of Des Moines scholarship to the school of her choice. Stackhouse told the Club that she wants to be a pediatrician and work in third-world countries. She also she was proud to come from a great school like Roosevelt where academic competition is fierce. Thirty Roosevelt High School seniors were treated to a day of pampering at La James International College in Johnston. “Say Yes To The Dress Atlanta” host Monte Durham and his team helped each girl select a prom dress and jewelry. Roosevelt A.P. student and senior Connor Bredbeck proves you can do it all. In addition to his long list of Advanced Placement classes, he’s also starring in the Des Moines Playhouse’s new musical, Pinkalicious. The musical runs April 25 – May 18.
