Online Personal Finance Class Earns Roosevelt $1000

Roosevelt High School was selected as a $1,000 winner in the 2013 – 2014 Iowa Financial Know-How Challenge sponsored by Iowa Student Loan®, the Iowa Department of Education, the Iowa Jump$tart Coalition, Junior Achievement of Central Iowa and the Iowa College Access Network.

Thirty Iowa schools each received $1,000: $500 intended for financial literacy programs and $500 intended for scholarship funds. Winning schools were randomly drawn from among the 83 Iowa high schools that registered and had students complete the Ednalysis financial literacy assessment test.  Pictured are two students from the Online Personal Finance class that took the financial literacy test and received two of the highest scores in the class: Veronica Torres and Calvin Knuth.
