Roughriders Head Back to State Golf Tourney

IMG_1355aCongratulations to the Roosevelt boys’ golf team on heading back to the Class 4A State Tournament.

The top three teams at today’s District Meet, held at Waveland, advance to State, and just two strokes separated West Des Moines Valley, Roosevelt and Ankeny Centennial.

Special congrats to Aaron Wirt, who was runner-up for individual medalist honors with a 76, along with his teammates Willis Gaer (77), Cooper Moore (78), Jack Christensen (83), Casey Mathews (84) and Niko Bakros (89).

The state golf tourney is this Friday and Saturday at the Tournament Club of Iowa in Polk City. Good luck Riders!
